Announcement of the selection of sub-grantees implementing two lots of the Action “Participate: Empowered CSOs and ethnic minority youth for active participation in decision making in Yen Bai, Vietnam” funded European Union (Reference number: CSO-LA/2019/409-730)

To award sub-grants to third parties under the Action “Participate: Empowered CSOs and ethnic minority youth for active participation in decision making in Yen Bai, Vietnam”funded European Union and co-funded by Save the Children Italia Onlus, the Project Management Board launched two rounds of Call for proposals toward local civil society organizations (CSOs) for two lots on July 31, 2020 and October 27, 2020. According to the full evaluation process approved by Save the Children Italia Onlus, the Project Management Board would announce three selected sub-grantees to implement two lots as follows:

1. Name of the sub-grantees	Yen Bai Center for Science Technology Development and Community Health care (Yen Bai CDSH)	Vietnam Youth Foundation of Tran Yen district	Women Support Center of Yen Bai province
2. Lot	Supporting ethnic minority youth to implement start-up and social initiatives.	Strengthening the capacity of ethnic minority youth through the support and implementation of start-up projects	Ethnic minority youth are confident to act on gender equality and have improved employability skills
3. Project location	9 communes of Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province including: Y Can - Quy Mong - Kien Thanh - Hung Thinh- Hung Khanh - Hong Ca - Hoa Cuong - Tan Dong - Dao Thinh.	9 communes of Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province including: Y Can - Quy Mong - Kien Thanh - Hung Thinh- Hung Khanh - Hong Ca - Hoa Cuong - Tan Dong - Dao Thinh.	9 communes of Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province including: Y Can - Quy Mong - Kien Thanh - Hung Thinh- Hung Khanh - Hong Ca - Hoa Cuong - Tan Dong - Dao Thinh.
4. Project duration	18 months, from January 2021 – June 2022	21 months, from January 2021 – September 2022	20 months, from December 2020 – July 2022
5.Objectives/Expected Outcomes.	At least 80 youth (about 70% are ethnic minority and 50% are female) are selected to develop six start-up and social initiatives in project communes.	At least 80 youth (about 70% are ethnic minority youth and 50% are female) are strengthened on capacity and skills to effectively implement six start-up and gender equality initiatives.	- Outcome 1: 300 ethnic minority young men and women (within the age range of 16 to 24, at least 70% are ethnic minority, 50% are female) are confident to act on gender equality and have improved employability skills and life skills - Outcome 2: 50 young people from 16-24 years old, after vocational training, will find a job with stable income or operate their own business at locality.
